For Those Who Serve: Greater Gadsden Area Veteran’s Day Guide

Past, present, and future, to all those who serve, we thank you for walking the walk and hope that everyone will join us this week as we celebrate our veterans in Etowah County on Wednesday, November 6, 2019.

The day’s festivities start with the annual Patriots Day Luncheon and Hall of Honor Induction Ceremony. This year the event will be held at The Venue at Coosa Landing. Doors will open at 11 am, and lunch will be served shortly after. The program will begin between 11:30-11:45. The program will end between 12:45-1 pm in time for attendees to head over to Broad Street for the Veteran’s Day parade.

Tickets are $15 apiece. Contact the Gadsden-Etowah Patritos’s Association for more information.

After the luncheon, everyone is encouraged to head over to Broad St. for the Veteran’s Day Parade. After all, who doesn’t love a parade? Marching bands, military vehicles, and much more will roll along Broad Street.

The parade will begin at about 2:00 PM, and there is no admission charge.

And if all of that is not enough, be sure to stop by the Gadsden Museum of Art after the parade. View their Veteran’s exhibit titled Homefront to Frontline: The Humanity of World War II.

Admission to the museum is free, so be sure and stop by.

Please join us in honoring our veterans, past, present, and future, and come out to show your appreciation and support to all of those who have served.

And remember, wherever you are or wherever you live, be a tourist in your town, and thank a veteran for the freedom to do so. God bless America!
